About Track That

Track That selects technology news that are of interest to readers in the fields of IT and Telecoms, with a focus on Asia. This means we’re not a news dump. Occasionally, we may offer insight on technology news from a business perspective, but don’t count on it. The authors have no interest whatsoever in the companies they cover…not in the near term anyway. All articles are published as is. If you have interesting news, would like to invite us to your press conferences, or meet your spokespersons, please send a request to track.that@gmail.com. Dear sir,

I am writing to request information regarding advertising rates and readership for your blog http://trackthat.wordpress.com/

Over the past few months, we have identified a real lack of understanding of the online media within parts of our client base and the PR industry as a whole. By collecting and providing key information about the sites we work with, we are hoping to educate clients about the influence, visibility and benefits the online media offers.

As you know we currently send you press releases on behalf of our clients, but we also monitor the coverage achieved. In addition to the information we already provide we are hoping to provide them with three of the key ways of understanding a site – who the main readers are, the level of readership e.g. monthly unique users a site receives and the cost of advertising on that site.

We are also hoping this may be of value to you as well as it will potentially bring to the attention of relevant comms professionals the opportunities and benefits from their advertising/marketing colleagues advertising on your site/s.

I would be very grateful if you could provide me with:

    - readership profile
    - advertising information – such as how much a banner advertisement would cost each month
    - readership information – preferably in unique users per month

We will of course contact you again to ensure the information provided remains accurate, and update our records accordingly.

Educating the PR industry about the power of the online media is something we see as key, and we hope by providing such information in addition to other basic details, we can help our clients understand the true value of online coverage, in addition to providing them information about where their advertising/marketing colleagues might advertise. We would be extremely grateful if you would provide this information and assist us in this aim.

    Kind regards,

    Claire Charrier
